Other Mysterious Vial 3x Prismatic Object 2x Chromium Container Fashionable Suit Black Tie 8-bit Hairpin Droplets within Mysterious Vial: 0 personality | Izuru Kamukura was in essence robbed of both emotion and memory, essentially drained of his humanity. His dispassionate and frigid disposition certainly corroborate this assertion, however...certain facets of him do not. Though one can argue boredom is a sensation much like hunger - a need for something, it has more nuance than that. Izuru has achieved through his cold rationale a sort of overwhelming ennui - a need for stimulation perpetually unsatisfied. However, certain things have been known to excite him, just as certain things escape his supposedly omniscient gaze. Hope surprises him and he becomes interested in its progression. It can be said he enjoys watching moving objects, and though he can predict with frightening accuracy, he can and has seen things he cannot predict. Overall, despite it all, Izuru is neither unstoppable nor emotionless. He is deadened. This gives rise to his coldness, but despite, if one interacts with him, his frequent tendency to cause nearly all near him to desert him out of frustration and disgust, he does seem to enjoy the presence of others, if one wishes to seek him commonly. First Impressions: Izuru is profoundly unnerving - being in his presence is uncomfortable and his unresponsiveness puts all but a few ill at ease. Many simply excuse themselves or find a reason to flee him altogether. Likes: Stimulation, the unexpected. Dislikes: Everything else. It's all drifted into the monotony of the obvious. Quirks: Obviously, Izuru does not emote. His endless, unblinking gaze is frightening and unnerving, to say the least. One might be hard-pressed to say exactly why, but, at a base level, they understand. history | WARNING: MAJOR SDR2 SPOILERS BELOW. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. Izuru Kamukura was once a young man by the name of Hajime Hinata - someone characterized by little more than his impressively average attributes and his desire to grasp "talent." Growing up rather well-to-do, Hinata had every advantage, save for ones not able to be bought. His parents were affluent and supportive, but rarely understood their son's obsession with talent. They encouraged him to embrace his normalcy, to become functional rather than special. His sister was slightly different; a buoyant, friendly young girl by the name of Sako. She had great admiration for her brother's conviction and temperament, and he returned it, but for a vastly different reason. At 13, on the evening of her brother's 15th birthday, she achieved her first national victory...at the age bracket a tier above hers. Hinata was the first to find her exiting the arena, ecstatic about her victory. He told her he'd never been so proud to call him her sister, an event that would inadvertently, and inevitably...bring ruin upon them both. After this, her temperament changed. In truth, she simply wished to not disappoint the brother who was so obviously proud of her, but Hinata simply saw it as distance - their painfully plain difference in importance dividing them. This only soured the relationship further, and the drifting continued. HEventually, her significance to his life disappeared nearly entirely. This series of events did little to assist his fixation with talent. For awhile, Hinata's life was relatively normal...until the opening of the Hope's Peak Academy Reserve Course. A bit of a fanboy for the organization, Hinata was among the first to hear about the revolutionary program intended to give those who were less extraordinary than those typically attending the academy a chance to prove their own worth. Hinata, with hope lingering in his heart for the first time since his sister's attitude shift, successfully applied. It was there he became acquainted with Chiaki Nanami, the ultimate gamer, a soft-hearted (and spoken) girl with a desire for companionship that for awhile filled the longing in his heart. Yet...the temptations he once had were not so easily quieted. Disaster followed not too many steps behind in the shape of an invitation from Hope's Peak Academy's head office. The invitation detailed that he was the perfect candidate for the IZURU KAMUKURA PROJECT, an initiative they vaguely described as a means to artificially induce talent - induce hope - into a willing individual. Unsure, but with Nanami's words "There's more to people than talent, Hinata...there's more to you, too." in his heart, he eventually declined. However, circumstance was once more against him. When a murder occurred between his classmates, he sought to tell a friend of the victims the news personally, but was stopped by Juzo Sakakura, who cruelly mocked his lack of talent and belittled him. The crumpled invitation boring a hole in his pocket...Hinata caved. With machines and implements, Hinata was put to rest...and Izuru Kamukura emerged. Their clockwork god...was born. Nearly any skill, discipline, or art can be mastered by only a cursory experience around them. In addition, even conceptual things such as luck seem to be able to be mimicked by him. Appearance: Izuru has dark, raven-colored hair that falls around his heels, straight and unkempt. His eyes are scarlet, devoid, penetrating and alarming. His skin is paler than average, and his build is average. Mundane Talents: They all are to him, really.
