Akira, like many of the tricksters before him, is something of a blank slate, a quiet foil to the personalities that gather around him. That said, beneath his quiet, impassive, and sometimes rather punchy and sarcastic demeanor lies a sweltering wit, a well-controlled but nonetheless blazing anger for those who abuse their power, and a genuinely sympathetic demeanor towards people down on their luck. As his compatriots in the Phantom Thieves, Akira possesses a mildly warped but nonetheless ironclad devotion to justice. Akira has a bit of a dry and sometimes cheeky sense of humor, but is deeply warm and kind beneath it. Most of these traits won't be seen day-to-day, however. For the most part, Akira is a controlled, independent yet sociable guy. Likes: Fighting, stealing, style, close-knit friendships, coffee, curry, low-key joints, leather, guns, genuine people, exploration, new things, casual conversation. Dislikes: Abusers, gambling, gossip, egomaniacs, very few things, honestly. Quirks: Incredibly, incredibly, incredibly dramatic and theatrical. Tends to keep a straight face through it all. | ||

((((((((((((((( HISTORY SYNOPSIS: ********MOSTLY********* SPOILER FREE )))))))))))))))) Akira was born in a small but boisterous suburb in the shadow of Kyoto prefecture. His parents were wealthy land speculators, though had little time for the accidental mop of black hair that popped into their lives after a particularly saucy business trip. Akira rarely complained; he was an independent boy as it was. The soon-to-be master thief had a fairly nondescript early life, until something would happen that would shift its course irrevocably. After staying at school late one evening, he encountered a haughty man attempting to force himself on a young woman, blathering drunken nonsense. Most would ignore the altercation and walk away, but Akira was defiant. After attempting to prevent the drunken man from his revolting act, Akira was taken into custody on charges of assault. Though his relationship with his family was never sublime, and though he expected it, the cold response from his family was a bitter pill to swallow. They thrust him away as a problem child to avoid difficulties in their fledgling business, Akira found himself in the care of Sojiro Sakura, a barista with a dry wit and an quite the skill in coffee and curry. Soon, he would find himself embroiled in events that would lead to the discovery of his persona, the forging of strong bonds, and some very stylish thievery. | ||
