A blunt measure of a man, Munakata's icy rationale belies the blistering heat of his emotions in the interest of his ideals. Authoritative and charismatic, he has little trouble inspiring unflagging loyalty in those he conscripts. However, beneath the harshness of his demeanor lies the personality of someone who is brimful of an unwavering desire to do what is right, and the willingness to go to any lengths for that inherent sense. In person, he can be cold and unwelcoming, but a warmth can be easily discovered when one thaws him. A textbook example of one who cares too much. First Impressions: Munakata is very blunt and authoritative with a distinctive no-nonsense demeanor. His inherent charisma is equally apparent, however, making him pleasant to interact with, albeit a bit stiff. Likes: Routine, structure, clear intentions, inexpensive food, dramatic speeches, Noir and Martial Arts movies, strong leadership (by himself or others), craftsmanship and ironwork, respect, frank discussions, engaged conversation, athletic activities, sparring and training, sugary coffee, personal hygiene. Martial Skill: Shampoo is equally proficient with a variety of weapons, including her trademark Chuí, bladed weapons, and many other forms of melee weaponry. Hissatsu Shiatsuken (必殺指圧拳 Xi Fa Xiang Gao?): An attack using a specially devised herbal shampoo in conjunction with a shiatsu massage technique involving pressure points on the head to erase her opponent's memories. The process takes at most 6 seconds. Dumpling Bombs: Similar to Ukyo's okonomiyaki bombs, but smaller. Food-based explosives. Kakato Otoshi: A vaulting technique that can also be used on someone's head to get a boost. Allows her to cover great vertical distance. Remote Control Acupressure: Activated by pressing both fingers against an unprepared target's temples. Used to turn a distracted Akane unconscious during the 'waterproof soap' story. Afterwards the victim is susceptible to a brief mind-control effect, and made Akane put herself in harm's way by standing in front of a roller coaster, then affectionately hug Ryoga and finally urge him to give back Shampoo's waterproof soap. Sleep fighting: Used against Pink and Link after being bitten by the Poisonous-Snake Plant. Although someone bitten by the plan will fall into a deep sleep which needs an antidote to awaken from, Shampoo's hatred of the twins was so strong that she gave both serious trouble even while asleep before eventually succumbing to the plant's poison. Appearance:Shampoo has waist-length dark hair (bluish purple) with a fringe and two strands hanging in front that are secured with ties. She dresses in various forms of Chinese clothing, usually a matching blouse and pants, over which she may wear an apron while working. Her combat outfit consists of a light colored long-sleeved blouse and pants with the addition of a dark breastplate and a pair of metal arm-guards, making her one of the few characters to wear any form of armor. This extends to the degree where finding his own backyard or even going in the direction he is pointed in is akin to finding steam in a fog bank. His nomadic lifestyle and his constant isolation combined with his inability to find his family or home (due to their own genetic predisposition to being lost all the time) have left him often miserable and lonely, quick to anger. Conversely, his isolation has also made him emotionally volatile, naive and rather fragile. Though Ryoga channels it into fighting spirit and sometimes anger, his clinical depression lends him to consider happiness something of a rarity, so he is often over-grateful to any outright compassion kindness offered to him, while simultaneously being ignorant of the way others tend to empathize with him. Said predisposition also makes most emotions very violent and powerful, whilst also being very brief. First Impressions: Ryoga is temperate, shy and polite, particularly around women. However, his overwhelming personality lends him to being easily provoked. However, his inherent self-sacrifice and loyalty shine through if one is kind to him. Likes Fighting, stability, companionship, food (even shit food, he isn't picky), cooking, being pampered, finding things. Dislikes: Loneliness, getting lost, deceit, being used, being trampled over. Quirks: Ryoga is very easy to anger but just as easy to pacify, provided one is careful. Ryoga appears to trick even himself into making stupid decisions, and will often shift blame for his own foul-ups. history | TBD skills & misc. | DETAILS ABOUT SKILLS, WEAPONS, ITEMS & ROOMS MAY GO HERE Skills: Survivalism: Due to Ryoga's perpetual accidental roving of dangerous and often nearly uninhabitable locations has ironed him into an excellent survivalist and a very competent forager and gatherer. Further contributing is his durable fighting style, which culminates into making him very good at keeping alive in nearly any circumstance. Durability: Among Ryoga's training under the tutelage of a Chinese Amazoness he withstood on a consistent basis barrages of large boulders, which have ironed him into a fighter with extreme durability and stamina. Iron Cloth (鉄布 - Tetsu Nuno): Ryoga seems to have a never-ending supply of his trademark bandannas, using them as razor sharp missiles, and can even turn his belt into a blade capable of easily cutting through a tree, or a steel pole, with a single slash. These attacks are assumed to be possible by Ryoga channelling his Chi into them, vastly enforcing the tensile strength and cutting edge of the fabrics. His umbrella is unusually resistant, but Ryoga easily wields it with one hand to deadly effect and increased impact damage. However, female Ranma was also able to use this, and it's unclear if Ryoga strictly carries this dense version towards the end, as even the Jusenkyo Guide's small daughter Plum was able to effortlessly lift it at this point. Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics: For some unknown reason, Ryoga has a fair knowledge of this martial art. The only time he really uses it is early in the series, when he tries to teach it to Akane, then to Ranma, to prepare them for a fight against Kodachi. Given his proficient use of "iron cloth" ribbon technique whip attacks, it is possible that he studied it for this purpose. "Bakusai Tenketsu" (爆砕点穴 - Lit. Explosive-Breaking Point-Hole): or Breaking Point, is a technique taught to Ryoga by Cologne. Originally used by construction workers to clear away debris, this technique enables Ryoga to shatter rocks and similar substances with a finger. The training is gruelling, consisting of tying yourself and a boulder to a tree and repeatedly slamming yourself, finger first into the boulder until you figure out the "breaking point". The technique is useless on humans, but the training's side effects make the user nearly invulnerable to physical attacks. Also, this technique is what allows Ryoga to tunnel underground. At some point, Ryoga also develops a version which works on wood. He is also seen using a "Rapid Fire" version at times, striking quickly and repeatedly to produce several small blasts in a row. "Shishi Hōkōdan" (獅子咆哮弾 - Lit. Lion Roaring-Bullet): or more simply known as Lion's Roar Blast, is a technique was taught to him by an engineer during his wanderings. By concentrating his depression and anger into his chi, Ryoga is able to unleash a massive blast of energy from his palms. When he was first taught it, in its imperfect form, the attack was strong enough to either knock out/defeat Ranma in one blow, or require a few shots, depending on his focus. The regular version proved enough to stun the latter noticeably, even when Ryoga was transformed into a small child.He has occasionally been shown to use this to help blow tunnels through solid earth. The secret to perfecting the technique lay in the use of the chi and the strength of the user's emotions. As chi generated by depression and anger is "heavy," by projecting it into the air, Ryoga creates a massive sphere of chi that has been shown capable of instantly creating an even larger smoking crater, in what appeared to be a stone foundation,and later crack the earth around it, reaching the onlookers at what had been considered a safe viewing distance away from the epicentre. The more ki generated and used in this attack, the larger the resultant sphere of destruction; the greatest visual effect was shown when used to utterly vanquish an opponent in a single blow. Simply being grazed by the outermost boundary of one of its most powerful strikes was enough to immediately conquer Ranma, despite the latter's attempt to lessen the impact with his weakened Moko Takabisha. But a full hit from a later (seemingly weaker, given the lack of increased crater size) attempt simply stunned the latter for roughly a minute, quickly followed by a strike with even less impact. "Dairokkan" (第六感 - Sixth Sense): Like several other martial artists in the series, Ryoga has displayed an extrasensory awareness, which warns him from incoming danger/attacks. However, at least once in the manga, during the Musk Dynasty arc, his Sixth Sense and poor directional sense combined, causing him to predict an incoming attack, but to expect it from entirely the wrong direction! Sekiteki Kairin Gasa: Ryoga opens his umbrella horizontally and spins it rapidly, using this to hypnotize a foe and render them unable to move. A more potent variant that works on multiple opponents is the Shinteki Kairin Gasa. Chiri Metsuretsu: By twirling his umbrella in a flamboyant manner, Ryoga can baffle and confuse multiple foes at once. If he is in his piglet form, he can achieve the same effect with a bizarre, flamboyant dancing routine. Appearance: Ryoga wears a severe expression that further hardens his already rather angular features, concentrated in two heavy brown brows over oak-colored eyes. His hair is bushy and somewhat unkempt, a matte black mass atop his head. His skin is paleish and rarely tans even through his constant exposure to sunlight, and he typically dons a traditional wanderer's outfit vaguely Chinese in origin. Being rather standoffish, insensitive, cold and kind of silly, Yuri's personality rarely meshes well with others. If one can tolerate his defects, however, he demonstrates in equal measures steadfast loyalty, kindness, and a good humor that brightens up even the grimmest of situations. Sarcastic and blunt but rarely hostile or cruel, Yuri's blitheness and relaxed manner are very difficult to dispel. Overall, he's a statement on the ancient adage "if things are bad, why worry about it?" First Impressions: Yuri loses a lot of people the moment he opens his mouth, as it is mostly to say the very first thing on his mind, with utterly no filter. Despite his physical competence, he runs and walks like somebody at a 70's discotecque. history | Yuri was born in 1889 to the soldier Colonel Ben Hyuga and Anne, a mysterious Russian Woman. Yuri inherited the caveat-ridden power of the Harominxer from his father, a trait that causes him to absorb the souls of every soul that perishes in his direct vicinity, as well as the ability to integrate with said souls, creating immensely powerful forms. However, this attribute also continually builds up malevolence within the seat of his soul, a slow process that will inevitably consumed him, no matter how many times he dispels it. Upon the tenth year of his life, Yuri's father was ordered by the Japanese government to hunt down the Chinese dissident and sorcery Dehuai, forcing him to leave his burgeoning family. Yuri promised his father he would safeguard the life of his mother, but tragedy struck not long after. Legions of monsters sent by Dehuai murdered Yuri's mother before his eyes, causing him lose control over the abilities within. Transforming into a hellish beast, Yuri slaughtered the monsters, awaking hours later naked and covered in the blood of the creatures he'd slain. He clung to his mother's lifeless body, sobbing and apologizing for breaking his promises. In his horror and sorrow, he fled. Afterwards, he roved the land aimlessly for many years, fighting monsters while nursing the fear that one day his malevolence or one of the abominations he constantly faced would overwhelm him. On a fateful day, however, a mysterious voice set its tongue to wag in his brain, compelling him to go to specific places and slay the evil there. With little else to do, Yuri followed the voice's commands until it led him eventually to Alice Elliot, a catholic sorceress. For example, when Yuri changes to Barbaria, a fire-based fusion, his element goes from Dark to Fire and he will receive a boost in his physical attack stat. These powers are inherited genetically, with Yuri gaining the ability from his father, Ben Hyuga and Kurando Inugami (Yuri's cousin) from his mother, Saki Inugami (Yuri's paternal aunt). All four are blood related on his father's side, and all are harmonizers. Unarmed Combat, sanity, durability, speed. Appearance: Yuri has spiked, unkempt brown hair he keeps thick atop his head. Droplets within Mysterious Vial: 0 personality | When I was young, an elementary schoolteacher ordered me to describe a cloud in two paragraphs or less. Of course, since my interests at the time did not extend to clouds, I was at a loss. So I elected to put less. I explained clearly about my lack of intention to speak about clouds, as clouds were boring, wet, and stupid. My schoolteacher took exception to this blatant violation of reality as he knew it, and brought my parents in to discuss the dour situation. My father scolded me harshly for breaching the rules, and I was instructed to redo it. This time, I defiantly discussed clouds as much as I knew them - boring, wet, and stupid. I received a perfect grade. The lesson I learned? What people want to hear and what they have already heard is rarely dissimilar. First Impressions: Of course, I elect to always be polite and cordial to people I've first met. Not really. I'm actually just rude and dismissive, and conceal it with a smile and a sunny disposition. Likes I like money. Dislikes: I don't like not having money. Quirks: I eat eggs medium well done, typically. history | I once was asked to defend a man in court who murdered his wife with just his thumb, but that's a story for another day. Of course, that was obviously a lie. I've never been in a courtroom, despite my occupation. I feel like I'd make an excellent defense lawyer, though. Maybe that's why I typically avoid deceiving patent attorneys. His dispassionate and frigid disposition certainly corroborate this assertion, however...certain facets of him do not. Though one can argue boredom is a sensation much like hunger - a need for something, it has more nuance than that. Izuru has achieved through his cold rationale a sort of overwhelming ennui - a need for stimulation perpetually unsatisfied. However, certain things have been known to excite him, just as certain things escape his supposedly omniscient gaze. Hope surprises him and he becomes interested in its progression. It can be said he enjoys watching moving objects, and though he can predict with frightening accuracy, he can and has seen things he cannot predict. Overall, despite it all, Izuru is neither unstoppable nor emotionless. He is deadened. This gives rise to his coldness, but despite, if one interacts with him, his frequent tendency to cause nearly all near him to desert him out of frustration and disgust, he does seem to enjoy the presence of others, if one wishes to seek him commonly. First Impressions: Izuru is profoundly unnerving - being in his presence is uncomfortable and his unresponsiveness puts all but a few ill at ease. Many simply excuse themselves or find a reason to flee him altogether. Likes: Stimulation, the unexpected. Dislikes: Everything else. It's all drifted into the monotony of the obvious. Quirks: Obviously, Izuru does not emote. His endless, unblinking gaze is frightening and unnerving, to say the least. One might be hard-pressed to say exactly why, but, at a base level, they understand. history | WARNING: MAJOR SDR2 SPOILERS BELOW. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. Izuru Kamukura was once a young man by the name of Hajime Hinata - someone characterized by little more than his impressively average attributes and his desire to grasp "talent." Growing up rather well-to-do, Hinata had every advantage, save for ones not able to be bought. His parents were affluent and supportive, but rarely understood their son's obsession with talent. They encouraged him to embrace his normalcy, to become functional rather than special. His sister was slightly different; a buoyant, friendly young girl by the name of Sako. She had great admiration for her brother's conviction and temperament, and he returned it, but for a vastly different reason. At 13, on the evening of her brother's 15th birthday, she achieved her first national victory...at the age bracket a tier above hers. Hinata was the first to find her exiting the arena, ecstatic about her victory. He told her he'd never been so proud to call him her sister, an event that would inadvertently, and inevitably...bring ruin upon them both. After this, her temperament changed. In truth, she simply wished to not disappoint the brother who was so obviously proud of her, but Hinata simply saw it as distance - their painfully plain difference in importance dividing them. This only soured the relationship further, and the drifting continued. HEventually, her significance to his life disappeared nearly entirely. This series of events did little to assist his fixation with talent. For awhile, Hinata's life was relatively normal...until the opening of the Hope's Peak Academy Reserve Course. A bit of a fanboy for the organization, Hinata was among the first to hear about the revolutionary program intended to give those who were less extraordinary than those typically attending the academy a chance to prove their own worth. Hinata, with hope lingering in his heart for the first time since his sister's attitude shift, successfully applied. It was there he became acquainted with Chiaki Nanami, the ultimate gamer, a soft-hearted (and spoken) girl with a desire for companionship that for awhile filled the longing in his heart. Yet...the temptations he once had were not so easily quieted. Disaster followed not too many steps behind in the shape of an invitation from Hope's Peak Academy's head office. The invitation detailed that he was the perfect candidate for the IZURU KAMUKURA PROJECT, an initiative they vaguely described as a means to artificially induce talent - induce hope - into a willing individual. Unsure, but with Nanami's words "There's more to people than talent, Hinata...there's more to you, too." in his heart, he eventually declined. However, circumstance was once more against him. When a murder occurred between his classmates, he sought to tell a friend of the victims the news personally, but was stopped by Juzo Sakakura, who cruelly mocked his lack of talent and belittled him. The crumpled invitation boring a hole in his pocket...Hinata caved. With machines and implements, Hinata was put to rest...and Izuru Kamukura emerged. Their clockwork god...was born. Despite this, Mob is stubborn in his convictions; he is starkly averse to using his powers for violence against others unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary, and seems to abhor violence in general. Quiet and observant, Mob's reticence shrouds a kind, very inoffensive soul who wishes to cultivate peace with everyone, even people he personally can't get along with well. He is surprisingly perceptive and understanding. Mob's distance belies a good listener, and his passivity belies a boy who genuinely tries his best in most things, and makes constant efforts to improve himself and the lives of others. First Impressions: Mob has VERY little presence unless one is psychically attuned, and his expression can be gently described as deadpan. Mob's immense psychic power is controlled heavily by his emotions. If Mob's emotional state is compromised in any way, even positively, his powers react. At an early age, this resulted in the injury and possibly fatality of several different muggers who assaulted himself and his brother. As a result, Mob became terrified of his own capabilities and sought to control his feelings as much as he could, so as to avoid any further calamities. Around the same time, he became acquainted with Arataka Reigen, a proficient conman masquerading as the foremost of psychics. Reigen bestowed upon Mob some oddly insightful advice, assuring Mob that he was a human being first, and his psychic powers were like any other talent, and gave no license to lord himself over others. Mob took this to heart, and the two formed a close-knit bond. This bond also became professional, and Mob began to exorcise evil spirits under Reigen's "tutelage." As time wore on, Mob became unhappy (oddly not with his woeful salary) with his current progression and his lack of hobbies or friends. Thusly, he decided to join a club for body improvement, which welcomed him with open arms, despite his utter lack of athleticism. Additionally, he gained an unlikely ally in a nearly-exorcised evil spirit known as Dimple, who became an advocate of Mob's interests, despite his best efforts to the contrary. At this point Mob became acquainted with Hanezawa Teru, a competent psychic who unlike Mob had little issue with using his psychic powers for personal gain and power over others. Teru became fixated with defeating Mob, but Mob refused to fight back, even under threat of mortal injury. Eventually Teru realized that psychic powers were not the birthright of superiority over others he'd once thought, and became significantly more mellow, grateful also to Mob for setting him on the right path. Meanwhile, Mob's brother Ritsu, whom Mob admired greatly, became dissatisfied with his lack of psychic talent, and eventually sought and successfully awakened to his own power. This led to disaster, as Mob's accidental victory over Teru had drawn the attention of a significant amount of delinquents who wished to establish themselves by defeating this new threat. Ritsu easily creamed the legions of ne'er-do-wells who attempted to ambush him, but Mob was shocked by his actions, and apologized vehemently to Ritsu's attackers. Ritsu, finally understanding his own folly, was summarily captured by a mysterious psychic who gave even Mob difficulties, which eventually led Mob, Ritsu, and Teru along with a bunch of other talentless psychics to the malevolent organization known as Claw, a group of espers seeking world dominion through their power. Reigen showed up late, and successfully fooled much of the grunts into thinking he was the leader of the organization, until the local kingpins dispel the deception. Despite this, he still convinces much of the goons to flee. Thusly, the leaders threaten the lives of all gathered, provoking Mob into action, but he still does not wish to, as he fears he will kill or seriously hurt them if he does. Fortunately, Reigen assures him it is perfectly acceptable to run away instead. In doing so, Mob feels greatly refreshed, and all of the energy boiling up within him becomes transferred into sheer gratitude, being imposed upon Reigen, who uses it to successfully scold the Claw peons into submission. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. As children, Junko and her twin sister Mukuro, had lived in abject conditions and they were even homeless at some point. As she puts it, she regretted the moment of her own birth, feeling that her birth into the world was a mistake. Due to her analytical skills allowing her to predict the outcome of events, she became bored with the world. Because of that, she took an interest in despair, which she believes is unpredictable and exciting, at very young age. Junko had a strong desire to "paint the world in despair" and planned to start The Tragedy, the worst, most despair-inducing incident in the history of mankind. She called herself and her sister the Despair Sisters AKA the Ultimate Despair. As a teen, Junko began a modeling career and quickly became an idol amongst the Japanese population with her extravagant tastes. One reason for her popularity was the fact that, ironically, she didn't seem fake. Her career created a lot of unwanted attention as well; she claimed that the only men who were interested in her were "creeps who did not actually care about her." Junko used to attend Gunma Prefectural Shibutani High School. She was scouted into Hope's Peak Academy as the Ultimate Fashionista along with her twin sister Mukuro, the Ultimate Soldier, into Class 78th. Unlike other students, her admission is a special case by the recommendation of the Board of Director; her talent is guaranteed by the board, with explicit dis-involvement of Jin Kirigiri and Koichi Kizakura. The responsibility of her as a student was placed upon the headmaster after her admission, with the Board removing their responsibility on her development. Soon after her admission, she began to sink her fingers into her own class and that of the one directly above, slowly but surely pushing forth her ambition to drown the world in despair forward, until, eventually, through the manipulation of Kamukura Izuru, she brought about the worst, most despair-inducing event in all of human history, an event so heinous the effects were felt for years afterward. Said event involved the gruesome murder-suicides of Hope's Peak Academy's Student Council, which was blamed upon the Academy's dirtiest skeleton, the Izuru Kamukura project. Thusly, the Reserve Course students who had been farmed like cattle for the funds necessary for the project stormed the main gates, murdering many of the students and staff present and eventually coerced into mass suicide. This abhorrent happening caused a cascade effect of epic proportions, and just as she wished, Junko plunged the world into despair. Eventually, her former classmates bested her in a mutual killing game, causing her to execute herself. Unfortunately, this did little to deter her acolytes, who saw her as a martyr. Senseless slaughter continued, a colossal amount of it caused by her former seniors, the Remnants of Despair. Said individuals were eventually captured by the newly-christened Future Foundation, who placed them into the Neo World Program, an artificial world meant to rehabilitate them and hopefully purge them of Junko's influence. Unfortunately, one among them sabotaged the program and infected it with an AI version of Junko herself, who nearly caused them to repeat an endless loop or replace the personalities of those lost in the program with her. Ultimately, however, she was defeated again by the timely efforts of the surviving five remnants and Chiaki Nanami. However, Despair, not one to give up easily, simply made another, with the captured body of a future foundation plant, one HINATA SAKO. Newly brainwashed, this false Junko staggered her way over to the finally quieted Jabberwock Island, caused a severe amount of nonsense to happen that eventually resulted in her revealing that she had no intent of working for the interests of despair any longer, as "she had grown bored of them winning all the time." She was greeted with abject distrust, and eventually her motives became more and more opaque. Why was she there, really? For what purpose had she come? Though he demonstrates the pride and charisma characteristic of the primarchs, his interests and demeanor are quite disparate to that of his warlike and brunt brothers. Bookish, inquisitive, and somewhat introverted despite his impetuous and impassioned nature, Magnus's interests lie heavily in knowledge, particularly of the supernatural. Anything bizarre. incomprehensible, or occultish in nature is sure to catch his interest. Though naive and almost childish upon his recovery by his father, that innocence was swiftly bludgeoned back into line by the brutish nature of the siblings he often contended with. Aloofness and ambition became his shield, sarcasm and snide remarks his sword. He developed an inferiority complex never quite shed due to his favored art of the warp being scorned by his father and further a need to prove himself. In the end, beneath the snarky air of intellectualism, Magnus is a sensitive, conscientious, nerdy bookworm desperate to demonstrate his talents aren't heretical, or worse, useless.First Impressions: Magnus casts an imposing figure due to his towering height and scary looks, but that empowered aura doesn't last for long after he opens his mouth. His tendency to "subtly" flaunt his intellect may put off some and his snide remarks others, but in the end if one sticks around his curiosity and charisma create an interesting conversation partner. Likes: The occult, books, cats, fast land vehicles, red, conversation, the quiet (though he quickly gets bored no matter what he says), meditating (again, though, gets bored quick), coffee, his hair. Dislikes: Loud places, sour food, Leman Russ, traditionalism. Quirks: Magnus will often match the temper of the people he's talking to, and sometimes will even copy their mannerisms. He isn't very good with social cues and has a tendency to stare. He also doesn't know how to wink, and STILL isn't aware of this rather silly defect. history | Magnus landed on the planet of Prospero (A planet whose ancient civilization was composed predominantly of psykers, who had fled there because they were persecuted by humanity at large for being psykers.) As Magnus was himself such a being, he formed a kinship with the people of Prospero in short order. Taken in by Prospero's people, he absorbed knowledge like a sponge, and became crazy powerful, and in time far exceeded the power and control of all of his teachers. After a while, he became the single most powerful thing on the fucking planet, and he led a campaign to eradicate a race of predators on Prospero known as the Psychneuein, which had overrun many of Prospero's early cities, and had an unhealthy fondness for laying their eggs in unsuspecting psykers' brains. Which was probably why the beasts had destroyed the entire population of Prospero, save for its capital city, Tizca. One by one, bit by bit, Magnus' forces retook the planet, putting the Psychneuein to the sword, and within a year, Magnus had completely reclaimed the entire world (except for the Desolation of Prospero, which was everything except for Tizca). Once the Psychneuein were destroyed, Magnus became the planetary leader by popular demand. Magnus decided to be fucking awesome, and he rebuilt the cities (or mostly just Tizca). Like a somehow perfectly stable fortress lasting some 50 years in Dwarf Fortress, Tizca became arguably the most beautiful city in Imperial space, with crystalline spires and pyramids, long marble roads, and psychically-resonant crystals in key locations; designed to calm the turbulent minds of younger psykers and help them control their burgeoning psionic potential. The city quickly became known as a shining jewel of humanity, and one that showed proudly how far its citizens had come from the brink of near-extinction. Prospero also had one of the most technically advanced defensive networks in the Imperium, all of which was hilariously wasted except for the shields when Magnus, in a fit of Primarch-scale angst over his "I screwed everything Dad was doing and failed my own purpose entirely in the process" whoopsy-daisy, decided that the Space Wolves should get the rabbit punch. All this time, Magnus continued to codify and systematize everything he could about the 'Great Ocean' - the name the Prosperans had given the Warp. Huge libraries filled with knowledge about psychic powers and the warp were established, and Magnus himself used his powers to peer into the Empyrean itself, claiming many of its secrets, though at terrible risk to himself. While this was exceptionally dangerous, much of what the Imperium's Inquisition currently knows about the Warp came directly from several of his manuscripts that survived. With such a powerful mind heading into the warp, it was inevitable that the Emprah (who happened to be out and about the galaxy looking for his lost sons) would eventually take notice. So he eventually came to Prospero, and he and Magnus psychically brofisted before talking for several days. The Emperor taught him even more about psychic powers, but cautioned Magnus to slow down and be careful, since foul horrors lurked in the warp and liked nothing better than forcibly sodomizing an unprepared Psyker's soul. Magnus took much of this to heart - but what the Emperor did not know was why - Magnus' forays into the warp had already come at a price - his right eye, sacrificed ala Odin when he had consorted with warp-entities whose nature he did not understand until the Emperor explained shit. Magnus was put in charge of the Thousand Sons, but would not immediately embark on the Great Crusade - since many of his Legion were psykers, and there had been so many small mutations that a number of them couldn't survive the gene-seeding process. Even worse, during combat psykers ran the risk of losing control of their psychic powers and undergoing the "Flesh Change", where their body mutated rampantly out of control at all the Warp energy running through them (we call them something else, but won't speak its name as...wait, I didn't say it's naSHHTLSUROHSONTOOLS!) Magnus had been aware of the mutations his people were suffering, and he had entered the warp previously to gain answers as to the cause and cure - though Magnus didn't know it, he had consorted with Tzeentch right before he arrived, and the god of Just as planned saw a lot of potential in this one. In return for a way to stop the flesh-change (Tzeentch backing off), he traded his eye so hard that he never had it in the first place, disregarding the advice of the Emperor to "save" his sons. In any case, because of the setbacks that had befallen the Thousand Sons, the selfless efforts of Magnus to save them, their shared psychic talents, and the continuing suspicion of many in the Imperium and among the other Space Marine Legions towards the Thousand Sons' use of psychic abilities and the rampant mutations present in their gene-seed, the Primarch and his Astartes developed an extremely close emotional and psychic bond - arguably the strongest such bond among all Primarchs and their Space Marine Legions, exceeding even the Luna Wolves' dedication to Horus and the Blood Angels' dedication to Sanguinius. Finally, about midway into the Great Crusade, 100 Terran years after it had begun, the now "stable" and full-strength Thousand Sons Legion, with Magnus leading them into the field, were permitted to take part in the effort, as the 28th Expeditionary Fleet of the Great Crusade. And it was glorious. When they were called to the field, the Sons were a sight to behold, flinging forth psychic storms to consume enemies of the Emperor and striking with both precision and prescience, using their abilities to ascertain enemies' weak-points. Magnus was unique among the Primarchs in that he would always try diplomatic routes first, however - in this way, the Thousand Sons won many battles without so much as a shot fired. This did not sit well with Rogal Dorn or Guilliman, who viewed this as unmanly. Likewise, Magnus drew constant distrust from Mortarion and Leman Russ, who distrusted the Sons' sorcerous ways and were somewhat concerned by a trait the Sons had picked up: after conquering or annexing a world, they would take huge amounts of knowledge - books, scrolls with forgotten lore, and ancient artifacts - back to Prospero for study, analysis, and codification. And this doesn't sound like the Blood Ravens, some say? Nicking everything shiny and not nailed down was the Thousand Sons thing, and nobody looted so prolifically. The White Scars aligned themselves with the Thousand Sons and Blood Angels to set up the Libraries, but actually did so to impose some restraints on psykers and make them more acceptable to everyone else, and avoiding the dangers that the Sons were so cavalier about. Their worries only intensified when it emerged that the Sons had little warp critters call "tutelaries" buzzing around them and acting as warp power-packs. Though when diplomacy didn't work Thousand Sons was known to fuck entire armies with lightnings, fireballs, mass mind control and precision strikes dealing so much devastation with only few marines, that entire companies of Iron Warriors would weep in tears of jealousy, if they ever cross Sons during Great Crusade. Magnus himself once fought Ork gargants by himself, and despite being able to zap, melt or transmute their hulls with just power of his mind he instead scaled himself to the size of Warlord class titan, and beat the shit out of Gargants with his bare hands. It wasn't long before Magnus was called to task by his brothers. The Sons' obsession with preserving valuable knowledge - whatever the source - pissed off several of the other Primarchs. The Thousand Sons' political opponents among the other Astartes Legions found their methods useless, and arguably counter-productive to the goals of the Great Crusade which sought to spread the specifically Imperial strain of human civilization across the galaxy, and possibly dangerous to boot, since the Warp was so dangerous. Arguments between Magnus and the other Primarchs became so pitched and so violent that on one occasion, Leman Russ and Magnus got into a giant fucking brawl on the council floor, and it only didn't end in bloodshed because Lorgar managed to talk both of them down, causing Russ to grudgingly holster his weapon and Magnus to stop chargin' his lazar. Finally the Emperor stepped in, bitch-slapped everyone for acting like children, and pointed out that whilst dangerous, Psychic powers were extremely necessary to the Imperium writ large. Chaplains were added to Space Marine chapters in order to ensure adherence to the Imperial creed, Psykers were to abstain from using their powers, and Jaghatai Khan was to facepalm whilst groaning that this is exactly what he'd warned Magnus about. Magnus was ticked off, but calmed down a bit a little later and continued the Crusade with the new restrictions in place. Psyker: Though the full extent of his mental capabilities can only be estimated, Magnus possesses near-perfect mastery of all the psychic disciplines. Those affected experience hallucinations, auditory hallucinations, and severe pain, then expose the whites of their eyes, foam at the mouth, and are nearly driven mad. Unseen Hand (見えざる手 Miezaru Te): Betelgeuse can cause physical interference by creating an invisible force field in the shape of a hand. The effect area, power, and number of hands is based on the user. Normally, Betelgeuse is only able to use seven hands, however if the Witch Genes he used to make people into his fingers returns to his body, he is able to summon even more hands. He can also combine hands together to increase their size. Earth Magic: Betelgeuse is able to shape and manipulate the rock beneath him such as the ability to shape the ground as he pleased, create small earthquakes, and form a gigantic barrier out of nearby rubble. Possession: As a Spirit, Betelgeuse can possess others' bodies, with Subaru describing it as a forcible one way contract. Compatibility varies between people, which depends on whether the person has an affinity for Spirits, as he mentioned that Subaru's body was optimal while Ferris and Wilhelm's bodies were incompatible for various reasons. To make other people into his fingers, he adds Witch Genes to their body that allows him to possess them, as he can possess people with an affinity for Spirits but needs to make normal people into his fingers first. He used this over and over to live for 402 years until his death. Appearance: Beutelgeuse's present human form is that of a pasty, gaunt individual with swamp-green hair in an immaculate bowlcut topped with a small cap. Brisk and detached, Shiki's demeanor isn't exactly that of a giddy socialite's. Her view of humanity is very black and white almost bestial, dividing people into "people she can be with" and "people she can't be with." Despite her dispassionate persona and her homicidal impulses, she does not kill indiscriminately, and often avoids outright slaughter if doing so feasible. When a child is born, he or she is given a single name written in two different kanji, each one relating to each personality. Shiki's mother and father are unnamed. While she has an older brother, Kaname Ryougi, he was unable to manifest a second personality within himself, thus making him ineligible to succeed as the head of the family. Due to Shiki's success in manifesting her second persona and her older brother's inability to do so, she was chosen as the next head of the family and began her training in combat. After becoming embroiled in several murder investigations, she ended up losing both her hand and apparently her alternative personality. Her hand was eventually replaced by Touko Aozaki by a thaumaturgical marvel, but she felt strangely bereft of herself. skills & misc. | DETAILS ABOUT SKILLS, WEAPONS, ITEMS & ROOMS MAY GO HERE Skills: Mystic Eyes of Death Perception: With her Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, Shiki can see the lines of a target's death that can act as both the "points" and the "lines".] A cut along any line will bifurcate the object, no matter the sharpness of the cutting tool used, and certain lines would result in instant death for the target. Her abilities extend to cutting things with no physical existence, such as Fujino Asagami's manifestations of her telekinetic powers. Unlike the other Shiki, Ryougi shows no definite proof after her release from the hospital that the use of her eyes causes mental strain on her brain, leading to the hypothesis that one's mentality greatly affects whether or not the brain can handle the power of the eyes. It does not matter if the target has a spiritual body like a Servant or they are dead like the ghosts surrounding Kirie Fujou, as it only matters if they are "living" in the sense that they can interfere with the current world. She has a hard time with Souren Araya's Śarīra because it belonged to an enlightened one who achieved "becoming extinguished, alive." Killing it using the lines of death would require her to decipher advanced "lines of death" levels higher than the normal concept of death. It's revealed by Touko Aozaki that her eyes are actually linked to the Root, the 'origin of all things.' However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Shiki's ability to differentiate 'lines' has been decreased, making her unable to perceive specific 'lines' or 'points' as efficiently. Magical Prosthetic: Shiki has a Magical Prosthetic Arm that allows her to grab things from a distance, and also affect intangible objects. When she went up against Kirie Fujou, who was a ghost that had several other ghostly figures under her control at the time, Shiki used her Magical Prosthetic Arm to grab her in her ghostly form. It has been stated by Touko that her second arm prior to going up against Kirie will be twice as strong as the original, and that it would take an elephant to destroy it. It also showed great durability when Shiki was running at high speed and jumped off of a building and landed on the other building, grabbing the roof as she landed. Shiki had to cut off her first Prosthetic Arm because a ghost was grabbing it and was going to throw her off the Fujou building. In the movies, Shiki's puppet arm has a hidden compartment to store a secondary knife. Swordsmanship: She was trained by her father at a young age. Without her self-suggestion, her overall ability in swordplay is about equal to Taiga Fujimura. Her most notable ability, self-suggestion, heavily reinforces her physical and mental abilities when she is armed with a Japanese katana, allowing her to ignore any amount of sustained injury and to focus completely on killing the enemy. Beyond this, she can even heal her internal injuries through a particular method of breathing. He even integrated crows into clones of himself that would draw opponents' attacks. He was likewise able to create shadow clones and from which could lure in opponents before exploding. Itachi was also well-versed in fūinjutsu, particularly those that would activate in the presence of a specific person's Sharingan. From his time in Anbu, Itachi became proficient in stealth, infiltration, and assassination. Bukijutsu: As a fully-trained Konoha Anbu, Itachi was skilled with a sword, which was his primary weapon during the Uchiha Clan Downfall. Like many Uchiha, he specialised and was advanced in shurikenjutsu. Even as a child, Itachi could perfectly hit an intricate set of eight targets, one of which was hidden in a blind spot, by accurately deflecting his projectile off another one to redirect both projectiles' path in mid-air.[51] His throwing speed was unprecedented, enough to keep up with and therefore negate the advantages of the Summoning: Lightning Flash Blade Creation. He was equally comfortable with kunai, able to use them to spar with opponents wielding swords. Nature Transformation: Itachi's nature transformations included Fire, Water, Wind, Yin, and Yang Release. As an Uchiha, he had a natural affinity for Fire Release, mastering the clan's Great Fireball Technique at a very young age. He would often coat shuriken with fire to increase their offensive capacities. With Water Release, Itachi could perform the advanced Water Dragon Bullet Technique without an external water source, as well as shape existing water into tendrils to strike his opponents from behind. Genjutsu: Consistent with his pacifist nature, Itachi specialised in genjutsu typically performed with his Sharingan. His illusions often involved crows and could be initiated after only the briefest moment of eye contact. They were so seamless that even targets that knew to expect genjutsu might not immediately realise that they'd fallen prey to him. If opponents tried to avoid eye contact in fear of his Sharingan, Itachi could instead cast genjutsu by merely pointing at them. Itachi could also use genjutsu to share information or psychologically disable opponents, allowing him to end fights before they even began. Against other genjutsu users, he could turn their genjutsu against them. Ao noted that Itachi was the only person who could use his genjutsu to control other individuals outside the range of even the Sensor Division. Dōjutsu: Itachi awakened and mastered the Sharingan by the age of eight, demonstrating skill and power superior to most members of his clan. His prowess and exploits with it earned him great fame as "Itachi of the Sharingan" (写輪眼のイタチ, Sharingan no Itachi). He keeps his Sharingan active near-constantly with minimal drain on his chakra levels. Also, with the Sharingan he could perform Izanami, a counterpart to the more dangerous Izanagi. Mangekyō Sharingan: Itachi awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan after the suicide of Shisui Uchiha. Its design was three spiralling curves around the pupil. With his left eye, he could use Tsukuyomi, a genjutsu that trapped opponents' minds in an illusory world, altering their perception of time to make seconds of torture seem like days. With his right eye he could use Amaterasu, igniting whatever he looked at with black flames that would burn anything, including fire itself. He had the ability to extinguish Amaterasu, but never displayed the sort of shape transformation that Sasuke later would. Susano'o Having awakened the Mangekyō in both his eyes, Itachi could also produce the Susanoo. With its simplest manifestations, he could produce extra arms or bones to improve his options in a fight. When used in full, Itachi was surrounded by a spectral warrior that would protect him from all damage, even jutsu as powerful as Kirin. In addition to the chakra swords and Yasaka Magatama common to all Susanoo, Itachi's Susanoo wielded the Sword of Totsuka – an ethereal sword with the ability to seal any person it pierced into its gourd—hilt – and the Yata Mirror – a shield that was said to reflect any attack by changing its chakra nature to counterbalance an attack. The simultaneous use of both weapons made Itachi's Susanoo essentially invincible. Using any of these techniques required vast amounts of chakra to perform and left Itachi so fatigued afterwards that he had to deactivate his Sharingan altogether. Every time he used his Mangekyō Sharingan his eyesight deteriorated, a process that would progressively worsen on each occasion. Early uses of the Mangekyō would only cause his eyes to bleed, but by the end of his life he reached the point where he was nearly blind, most things looking to him like mere blurs. A decadent of peerless quality, Dio indulges in all pleasures one can experience, and his domineering persona makes attaining these pleasures nearly effortless. After finally poisoning him, Dio was sent to live with the illustrious Joestar family, a wealthy clan of Londoners famous for their righteous code and quick temper. Quickly establishing himself with the family's head while simultaneously draining the life from its scion, Dio bided his time well for many years until grown, at which point he attempted to poison his adoptive father in the same manner as his actual one in order to attain his fortune and the mysterious MASK he sought. Jonathan through sheer force of luck managed to discover this plan before it could be completed, and Dio was forced to flee. Crafty to the last, Dio returned, but his scheme to deceive Jonathan was thwarted by the timely efforts of Robert E.O. Speedwagon, who saw past his contrite facade. About to be arrested for his attempt and disowned, Dio resorted to the Aztec artifact he had stolen, "ascending" humanity to become an immortal monster. After being eventually defeated by Jonathan, Dio's severed hand managed through mysterious means to hijack Jonathan's boat. In ah heroic effort, Jonathan sought to cast them both into the sea, but Dio was able to seize his body from the abyssal deep, and when was eventually recovered many years later by wayfaring sailors. After reviving with Jonathan's stolen body, Dio, gaining the powers of a stand in the interim period, slowly revitalized himself while distracting the encroaching Joestars seeking to finally put him to rest for good. After a bloody confrontation, he was eventually slain by Jotaro Kujo. skills & misc. | DETAILS ABOUT SKILLS, WEAPONS, ITEMS & ROOMS MAY GO HERE Skills: Inhuman Strength: Dio attains massive strength as a Vampire, allowing him feats such as forcibly walking on walls and single-handedly deflecting attacks such as Hierophant Green's Emerald Splash (volleys of substantially-sized emeralds flying at almost bullet speed). After absorbing Joseph's blood he is powerful enough to pick up and drop a steamroller on Jotaro. Inhuman Speed: Dio also possesses enhanced speed and agility. At one point he was described by Speedwagon as being as fast as a cheetah. Enhanced Senses: Demonstrated when placing his head on the ground to hear Jotaro's heartbeat, despite being a few meters away, Dio appears to have senses beyond human level. Regeneration: Dio can regenerate his body faster than fire can consume it. His incredible vitality is maintained by consuming human beings (or their blood), which he commonly does by piercing them with his fingers. Like all JoJo vampires, Dio sucks blood through tentacles in his fingers and has been seen at least once drinking blood from an unnamed girl. His body is able to live even after having vital body parts amputated and he can also control his detached body parts. The extent of Dio's own survivability is demonstrated when he could continue as just a head. THE WORLD (世界ザ ! !) : The ability to stop time for 10 seconds, with a cooldown of roughly 2 hours. Space Ripper Stingy Eyes(空裂眼刺驚スペース・リッパー・スティンギー・アイ lit. "Space Splitting Eye Spiked Surprise"): Dio is able to pressurize bodily liquid in his eyeballs and then create small openings in his pupils, eventually unleashing two fluid jets (referred to by Straizo as "Space Ripper Stingy Eyes") powerful enough to slice stone. Vaporization Freezing Technique (気化冷凍法 Kikareitōhō?): A freezing ability enabling Dio to freeze his own body parts and transfer this over to other objects or beings. It is able to cancel out the Ripple by freezing the blood in the user's body. Fusion: By fusing different species, Dio can create half-man half-beast creatures. He can even fuse himself with another living being to take control of them. Spores (肉の芽 Niku no Me): In Phantom Blood, Dio's powers are more bio-organic, but for the most part in Part 3 he only utilizes the "evil implants" - a parasite that brainwashes Polnareff and Kakyoin. A vampire's cells can spawn Evil Implants generated from hair and insert it in the brains of living beings to control them. If someone tries to take out the spore, it will grow tentacles in a attempt to kill both the host and the one trying to remove it. If the vampire wants, he can give permission to someone to activate the spore's tentacles anytime he wants if close to it. The spores possess another effect in case DIO himself ever dies. According Keicho Nijimura, his father who was implanted by the spore underwent a mutation into a greenish animalistic form by having DIO's cells inside his body. Presumably, this is a side effect that the rest of the surviving Stand Users that DIO had implanted his spores inside of would suffer from. Hypnosis: This ability was used twice on Jack the Ripper (anime only) and Poco respectively. In the case of the former, Dio hypnotized Jack to convince him to join as a servant, allowing Dio to drain his blood and turn him into a zombie. Poco was manipulated to lure Jonathan into a trap, though his consciousness returned after being subjected to Jonathan's Ripple. Teleportation: Dio also shows the ability to disappear by fading into darkness. Whether or not this may be an actual vampire ability or a result of the use of his Stand is unclear. Healing: Dio also seems to possess the ability to heal other people's wounds as he was able to completely cure Pucci's wounded foot by simply touching it.
